William Ashley has been a regional property development and house-building company since 1996 - founded by Michael Downes, Managing Director, after 30 years experience in the construction and property development industry.

The company is based in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and mainly operates within the wider West Midlands area developing both residential and commercial properties; from high end luxury apartments to starter homes, and offices to retail units.

The William Ashley Group consists of the following divisions:

William Ashley Developments – lead by Stephen Mason, Development Director; this division sources all new sites and liaises closely with the Construction Team until the construction site is up and running, and then provides ongoing ‘client liaison’ to ensure projects are delivered to specification and on time.

William Ashley Construction – headed by Richard Darlow, Construction Director, are the main contractor to William Ashley Developments enabling a flexible approach to construction to be achieved but retaining a professional distance to ensure that quality standards, cost control and deadlines are achieved.

William Ashley Commercial – The brand for all commercial developments, which currently include commercial units as part of mixed use schemes and new and part-conversion office accommodation in highly sort-after city centre locations.
